A series of panels laid on the wall vertically from floor to ceiling. Available with different groove profiles mostly u and v groove profiles). Vertical panels create an illusion of height.

Consists of boards/panels and thin strips of wood alternatively. The top and bottom usually have a wider rail. The width of the boards is usually 1-foot-wide and the battens are about 1/2-inch wide.
BeadBoard

Engineered wooden substrates are used as the core to which thin vertical strips of hardwood are applied. Wooden tiles are interlocked in a tongue and groove system. One edge of the tile is protruded and the edge has a groove.
They are installed at standard heights: 32,36,40, and 44 inches.
