Hoysala Architecture – Vaishnava Temple and Its Richness

The temple is dedicated to Channakeshava Swamy in the Hassan district, about 200 km from Bangalore. The C.U. Built in the year 1100, the triangular shrine appears to have not yet been built. Because despite two attempts in thirty years, it has not been successful. The neglect of government departments still remains incomplete.

Located in the center of the town, this temple resembles the Lakshmi Temple of Periyakadavalli. It is a trinity school. The chief deity is Channakeshava. The other two sanctums contain idols of Saraswati and Venugopala. The outer wall of the temple has simple vertical pillars and peaks. There is an idol of Sri Ramanuja in the temple premises.
